What would an army do in Finland? You don't have any enemies! Laughing

Oh, I wish I could skip the army! Anyway, it is 180-365 days long so not that much, luckily. I was born in Israel, army there takes about 3 years! So I have nothing to complain! Smile

In America the army/military is also voluntary, and both men and women can join. It is for 2 to 4 years, but you spend a lot of that time going to schools or training classes. Most people join because after they get out the government helps them with college and other benefits.

Hopefully your country will treat you well and it will be a good experience for you. You'll make lots of friends, because the guys next to you will feel just like you do. Plus, there are no wars with Russia right now, so it's a good time to join! Razz
