I found this yodel boring:

But seems the same girl is singing some better one here, and you probably recognize the song Wink

The girl is Adeline.

The Korean yodeling was very good! Very Happy
I wonder why yodeling is so popular in S Korea? Shocked

Adeline was doing songs by Melanie Oesch, wasn't she? She did a good job with them, I wonder if the band is her family?

Thanks Nuno! Very Happy

I like the first one best. It may be because of the better video quality.
When I first saw these messages I thought you guys were saying Adele was yodeling. Shocked
I thought, Wow Adele doing Melanie Oesch songs--what's the world coming to? Laughing

I thought I would check and see if Ursprung Buam is still a thing, and so here is a recent video from some beerfest or other. They don't yodel very often but this song is pretty yodel intensive!

I wonder if Ursprung Buam actually still is a thing. The video was posted last November, but in the description it gives a date of July 2013. Hopefully they are still interrupting their polkas for some occasional yodeling. Smile

Adele + yodel = Adeline Very Happy

Good finding!

She actually used Yodel in some unique way, and did very well!

And then played the harmonica!

I checked her (moms?) YouTube channel, and she has dozens of videos, going back several years. Most of the videos are in Russian so I don't know if they contain yodeling or not. She seems to sing a large variety of music, and most of her videos are very professionally recorded and produced. Smile

Here she is singing an American yodeling classic, her English is good, and her yodeling is advanced for her age, I was impressed! Very Happy

and Melanie Oesch...

and Ilinca Băcilă...

And her dog gets excited when she plays the harmonica...

When that first video started I said, "OK, Melanie Oesch is her main influence" because where else have you ever heard that machine gun yodel? And there she was on the next video singing KuKu Yodel.

She has that same perfect command of pitch at an early age that reminds me of Illinca. A lot of young start-up yodelers struggle a bit with that.

Illinca has a tutorial video now, but she speaks in Romanian and it seems a bit more silly than serious. Not sure how much anyone could learn from it! Confused

Thanks for the Ilinca link!! Very Happy

I liked Ilinca's casual approach to yodeling, I think most successful yodelers like her have fun with yodeling and do not take it too seriously. I'm glad yodeling is still important to her, and that she hasn't dropped it to become a traditional singer.

I can't judge the teaching value, maybe she was sharing lots of Romanian yodeling wisdom. But she was acting kind of goofy, so probably not. Still, she's a good role model for the young crowd of yodel-wannabees. Razz

UPDATE:
Ilinca IS goofy! Here's a recent vlog, in English...
