Don't be a dropout! Shocked You are so close to the end.

Just be yourself, and if people hate you, it's their problem. I bet you can find a few people who will be your friend, and I don't mean the outcasts who are just looking for someone to smoke pot with. Rolling Eyes

Hang in there, the end is in sight. You'll never regret graduating and getting that important piece of paper Smile

Btw, do you still have those leaky school shoes? Shocked

Uh oh--crisis!! Shocked

You're too loveable to hate, so I don't really think that's it. Razz Wild guess here since I don't know the total situation, but I think it's more that you're the newcomer and everybody else is already in established little groups that they are perfectly happy with. You're also among an age group where the most important thing for a lot people is feeding their own ego and thus they lack basic sensitivity to people around them that are not part of their ego entourage. If that's the situation, try to understand they are the ones with the problem (character defect issue), not you!

Bob is right, though--hang in there however you can. If you have to, just change your identity to the "gothic loner" or something, and get through the rest of the year. I promise it gets better once you get out of school. In most cases groups of "mean girls" (and boys) vanish when you get a job or go to university.

Aishani, do Aussie or NZ schools have problems with bullies? It's been a big problem in America recently. Confused

So much so that there are anti-bully commercials on tv, and a national "Stomp Out Bullying" campaign.

All schools have bullies.

So many people ignore me and won't even talk to me Sad

David, you're completely right about them already having groups. And also cos its the last year everyone is selfish and focusing on getting themselves through the year. It just sucks Sad

I can't change my personality otherwise that would be lying! I don't fit with society though, so if that makes me a loner, that I am! Razz

I do know some outcasts who spend there time smoking pot, some are nice others not so much.

I know I'll survive.... Just hoping that November 15th (my last exam) hurries up!!!!!!

I can understand ignoring a stranger if they are creepy, or trying to sell you something, or push some political or religious agenda on you. But I don't understand people who won't talk to their peers, to people who obviously just want to say hi and be friends. Those people are rude.

Maybe it's good not to know them. They will drag you into their little group, and soon you'll be just like them. They'll expect you to follow their rules to keep their 'friendship'. And their little groups always have ranks, some are the leaders, and the rest are the followers, and you'll be thrown out if you try to upset that.

I'd rather be a loner. Smile

You can put up with almost anything for just a little more than 2 months! Concentrate on your studies, so when you take that last exam you will know you've done your best.

And always be yourself. Smile a lot! Rude people don't like people who are happy. Rolling Eyes

I wonder if people now resist new friendships because the year is almost over? Do you really want to make a friend that will be gone in two months? Maybe that has something to do with it. Question

Pretend it's all a game. Because, in a way, it is. Rolling Eyes

Some people make friends so quickly & easily Rolling Eyes not me.

But I'm not the only person who feels intimidated by some of the girls in our year, I was talking to a girl names Jane and she said she feels the same way!

There are probably a lot of girls like you and Jane, but you aren't as obvious as the rude girls. People usually only notice the loud ones, and the troublemakers. Rolling Eyes

I wonder what becomes of all the 'popular' girls when they graduate from school and go out into the world? Suddenly they may find they aren't so popular anymore. Confused

Friends made slowly are the best!

Stick with the girls like Jane. Very Happy

If you could find four or five Janes you could form a group and start snubbing people---NOT!! Laughing

I looked up VCAL, is this it?

It sounds like a good idea, to combine school with a trade. Like on-the-job training. Smile
