Practice, dedication, a book, and a tape.

Let us know when you've done it! Very Happy

Yodeling is an art form and if you are the artist, there is your venue. Like any endeavor in the arts, practice is what makes you perfect. It really doesn't matter where you are from because yodeling is not area specific. You will find it all over the world. There are lots of yodelers out there and lots more yodel lovers. We have some of the best yodelers in the world right here on this forum. Kerry Christensen, Janet McBride, and of course Taylor Ware just to name a few. We have a new member, Angele Leblanc who is French Canadian but she is learning to yodel and doing very good for being only 11 years old and only been working on it for 7 months.
Good luck on your efforts Chaimaintenance and don't let the nay-sayers deter you from obtaining proficiency in yodeling. You may have to practice down at the beach though. Very Happy

Yodeling is easy. GOOD yodeling is very difficult!

It's the same with any other talent, lots of people can do almost anything ok, but only a few can take it to the next level.

Why?

Because as you are learning to yodel and before you manage to stay on pitch consistently which comes with practice, it may be irritating to someone in the same room. Sad That will cause you to try to do it quieter Silenced and you just can't yodel quietly. You have to belt it out. Smile

I like Angele's attitude!!! Very Happy

I think for young people learning to yodel is just finding some yodeling you like and copy it! The more complicated lessons and techniques can come later.
