Aishani, how far is it from the north island to the south island? Maybe it's like the English channel, between England and Europe? Could they build a long bridge someday? Or an underwater tunnel? I bet they have lots of daily flights!! Shocked

The playgrounds look like fun! Great for kids and families to spend the day. Very Happy Really imaginative designs!

Do you have any amusement parks near you? Places with rides like roller coasters and those rides that spin you upside down? Confused Sick

It's not that far,And i don't really want them to build a bridge because it's alot more fun going on the ferry Razz According to smart person on google:'It is 92kms from Wellington to Picton which is the route the ferries take.'

That would be a loooong bridge!!! (57 miles!)

Didn't know you had a ferry, that seems the smartest way to go island-hopping. Razz

We always fly from Wellington to Auckland, because to drive,it takes about 10 hours

I looked at a NZ distance calculator and it showed the distance as almost 650km, much higher than my guesstimate of 400, but I was measuring straight distance. This NZ travel site went on to explain that the roads are very mountainous and winding. So it makes sense that it would take 9 or 10 hours. In most of the USA we could drive that distance in 6 hours.

Those playgrounds are amazing! Shocked They look like more fun than Disney World and you don't even have to pay $50 a head to get in! Laughing

Rainbow's End seems like 6 Flags here in America, big, busy, and kind of expensive. But fun if you only go once every few years. Very Happy

I had to google what 6 flags is! I think rainbows end is probably alot smaller. The only theme park I've been to is Ocean Park in HK. I'm not really into roller coasters etc. I would much rather yodel! Laughing

How about yodeling on a roller coaster? Shocked Razz

I still love most of the rides, but am not so crazy about waiting in a long line to get on them. Confused Best to go on a cold rainy day, but the rain hurts when you are going fast on a roller coaster, it feels like small hail. Laughing
